This hairstyle is super easy! I didn't come up with it by myself though. I'm not THAT amazing.
This is more like a "Hi, I'm a little girl" look, so I grew it up a little. This lady is amazing, I want to be like her & do freakishly adorable hairstyles on my little girls hair when I'm a mommy. I'm going to her blog more often for hair inspiration. :)
So, my bangs had to be back. Do you want to know how sweaty I got that day? So sweaty, my fingers tasted like salt. Now, I don't just randomly lick my fingers; I was licking them because I got chocolate frosting on them. And that was after I washed my hands. Yuck! It was sooo worth it though (Why I sweated so much, that is) :)
Anyways, hair...
Step 1~ Pin bangs into a poof. It doesn't have to be Beyonce big, but not flat to your head either!
Step 2~ Put hair in 3/4 ponytail. Pretty much, grab all hair on temple line and above. Put it in a loose ponytail as high as you can get it. This picture, it's a little too low. Smooth it out as much as you can, too.
**OPTIONAL** Get a super long ribbon and tie it around the ponytail :)
Step 3~ Split in half & flip ponytail & ribbon under, so it should look something like this
Step 4~ Braid one side, and include the ribbon! It's totally fine if there's extra ribbon. :) Put in clear hair elastic
Step 5~ Repeat step 4 to other side.
Step 6~ Bring both ends of braids to middle & secure with bobby pins
Step 7~ Make bun out of left over hair and ribbon. Don't do it as high as I did in this pic, you'll want to be able to see the heart!
Valentine's Day is not really one of my favorite holidays, but I don't shun it altogether! That day, I danced a lot, and I danced hard! I had ballroom, which always a blast. We worked on Lindy & Viennese waltz, which is always a work-out. Right after ballroom was dance practice during lunch, & we just ran through all of the choreography I taught so far. So intense! Right after I had dance, & my friend who is an amazing choreographer taught more of the dance she is choreographing for our class. When everyone went to the bathroom to change, me and a few other girls danced it over & over, even after the bell rang. We danced until the minute bell, so I was a little late for choir. After school, I was talking to one of my friends, and we decided to go practice the choreography for my other friends dance a few times, so we bolted to the dance room and ended up doing it way more than a few times. Ugh, I was in dancing paradise! So ya, that's why I was so sweaty. :)

Sunday Amazingness!
Whoo, today was a very good Sunday!
First, hair tutorial:
Step 1~ Separate hair in front of ears from rest. This is going to make a fishtail braid. If you have tons of layers like me, feel free to take more hair from the area above & behind your ears. (NOTE: Don't put your hair back, I only did this to show you what I mean, you know?)
Step 2~ Tease Hair (NOT hair that is in front section)
Step 3~ To have more control, put your hair in a loose bun at bottom of head.
Step 4~ Grab hair on sides & put in ponytail
Step 5~ Loosen it!
Step 6~ Flip hair up through the space between ponytail & head (I brought it through twice)
Step 7~ Fish-tail ponytail. In case you don't know how, split ponytail in half
Take a small piece from one side, bring it over, & combine with other side. Take a small piece from the other side, & combine it with the other side.
When you're done, put it in clear elastic.
Step 8~ I forgot to mention earlier, you NEED to use a small, elastic hair-tie for the ponytail, because in this step, you need to break it.
For some reason, it was crooked when I did this, so I got a bobby pin and pinned the sagging side up.
Ta-da! I learned how to do this on Pinterest. I love it!
All ready for church!
All of the talks & lessons in church were amazing today! I'm now motivated to be a lot better, especially to be more positive, even if I'm having a bad day. It's called "fake it 'till you make it." :)
We had the first choir practice of the year right after church! I'm so excited! :)
I had no time to take my usual Sunday nap, as I had to help get the house ready for my aunt, my cousin, & my aunt's mom to come. I did finish a headband, which turned out really cute, but I gave it to my cousin. I had fun with them, & I love them :) I also wrote a letter to my sister who is serving an LDS mission. Today was just a really good day. How was your Sunday?

Saturday Awesomeness
Yesterday was a very productive day, when it comes to chores and stuff. I woke up before 10 AM (shocker, I know. I've been better at going to bed before midnight lately). I got my weekly chore done before noon, which is another shocker.
I was taking a break from working by sitting on Facebook for like, 10-15 minutes when my mom informed me that I had to do something in the yard. So, I picked up dog poop. Yucky! I was gagging the whole time. Speaking of my dog, my mom wants to put him down. It makes me really sad :( We've had him since I was like, 7 so it will be weird not having him around.
After that fun stuff, I FINALLY got to cleaning my room. I pretty much fail at keeping it clean. I started cleaning it last weekend, yet it took me about 2 hours to pick up the rest. My second to oldest sister is moving out in a few weeks, so I'll be moving back into the room I was originally in. I'm excited, more space!!!
At about 2 PM, I drove to Walgreen's with my mom to buy mascara AND eyeshadow. It was my first time buying my own eyeshadow! I was 13 when I bought my first mascara. That whole story is HILARIOUS; I informed my oldest sister that I wanted to go buy some mascara, & she was like "OH MY GOSH I HAVE to call K!" (She's a mutual friend of ours). Long story short, my sister drove us & they were crying because I was "finally growing up".
Anyways... Afterwards, my mom drove to Sonic for Happy Hour, & she bought me a large peach-limeade. Have you ever even heard of that? I didn't, until Friday when I went to Sonic with one of my friends. He bought one yesterday, & he told me it was very good, so I had to get it. One weird word: YUMACIOUS! I highly recommend it! :)
As soon as we got home, I started getting ready for a date. I spent more time picking out an outfit than doing my hair & make-up, no kidding. Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel like you don't look cute in anything? I was having one of those days. Plus, my tummy was bigger than usual due to all the soda I had in the last 24 hours. All I did was straighten & tease my hair. Classic hairstyle. It's one of my favorites.
This is the back of my head. (Usual crazy teased hair pic)
The front.
I had a lot of fun on the date itself. We've been trying to go on a date for a long time, but every time, it would fall through, so ya. We went to his friend's house, stood around & chatted for a little bit, and made homemade pizzas. Oh my goshness, it was AMAZING, because besides the fact it was homemade, they were cooked in an outside oven dome thingy. Ah, it was heaven. After stuffing our faces, we started watching "Tuxedo" on the huge projector screen in the backyard, but about 30 minutes into the movie, we decided to turn it off because there was a lot of... let's just say awkward stuff. So we turned on "Super 8". Eeek, that movie is intense. I thought I was going to have a heart palpitation! My date drove me home... Lalala. It was so much fun!
That was my Saturday, & I got no homework done. :)

Experimentals, gotta love them
Hi there!
It has been a while since I've posted, but being a senior in high school with a lot to do, blogging is unfortunately not a priority. I feel bad writing this post because I have chores to do, dances to choreograph, and papers to write. Hurray for procrapstination...
So, today I had ballroom, as usual. And knowing my body, I sweat a lot, as usual, so there was no question, my hair had to be out of my face and off my neck. I always poof my bangs & put my hair in some sort of bun, but today, I wanted to do something different.
Once upon a time, I was on Pinterest & saw this pin:
I don't know how in the world I got what I did out of this, because the whole ribbon concept. But anyways, a little birdie told me that some of you want a tutorial with pictures. So, that's what I did :) I'm so sorry about the horrible quality, a younger relation of mine who is a female took the camera, so I had to take these with my phone.
Step one: Separate hair in front of ears & put the rest back.
Step 2: Put on headband, or ribbon (if it's ribbon, preferably a longer ribbon, and tie it in a knot)
Oh ya, and bobby pin it so that it will be stationary for the most part. :)
Step 3: Put on your Bump-it (JK, I don't own no bump-it.). Tease hair behind headband & "pin the bubble". You don't have to do pin it, but I personally do this for two reasons: 1) My hair is freakishly thick & therefore it deflates 2) The hairstyle will just turn out better, it you are a volume-lover.
Step 4:French-braid one side, & secure with clear hair elastic. Remember that one french braid a few posts back where you pretty much add to the middle? Preferably do that kind :)
Step 5: French braid other side
Step 6: Gently pull apart both braids to add more texture, and make it look like you have more hair. :) You can't really see it in the pic, but there is a difference.
Step 7: Lift up hair that is part of the poof & the hair that lines up with it, & pin braids. If you have super long hair, don't worry about this step. :)
Step 8: Gather all hair above the braids, or the braids themselves as well if you have super long hair. Separate into three sections.

Step 11: Take out bobby pins that were holding up the poof, smooth the hair out, pin in hairs sticking out of french braids, hairspray, etc. Just the touch-ups :)
Voila! All done :) I love this look! And it actually stayed intact & didn't bother me at all in ballroom :) This hairstyle is a success! Please give me input! :)
Thank you! :)

Sometimes...
Sometimes I don't feel social, so I don't talk to my friends.
I feel like a loner sometimes, but I don't mind, because I haven't been the greatest person to have a conversation with.
Most of the time, my friends don't come up to talk to me, so I feel sad.
But I almost always don't care, because I know that I won't really know what to say because my mind feels muddled lately.
I still love & treasure each of my friends though.
I am so blessed with the amazing friends I have.
I'm sorry if I've had the chance to say "hi" to you, but never did. I'm sorry if I've never seemed sincere about a compliment.
Life is rough, but I'm doing my best to keep hold of Christ's hand.
There are days when I feel like He is the reason why I function.
Those days are often.
I am so grateful for friends like Him.

Woah, it's a Double-Braid All the Way Across Her Head... So Intense
Haha, I hope you got the title. That YouTube video is ridiculous, but I think it's hilarious.
Today is Sunday, one of the best days of the week! Here's the hair:
Double-braid into a sloppy bun. And I have made a tutorial! I've tried uploading it like, 5 times, but it made no progress in a long time, so I'm going to have to post it later.
Anyways, church was good, I made lunch (the usual macaroni and cheese with Ranch Style beans), wrote a letter to my sister, and cooked dinner. It was this tortellini yumminess!
It looks like puke, but it was actually amazing! I love cooking, especially when it's good food! In case you couldn't tell, there's bacon in it. I had to cook it and then tear it up. My older bro. helped me with shredding the bacon. But while we were doing it, I couldn't help but have this song stuck in my head:

Meh...
I felt like poop today, despite the amazingness of last night. So my hair was in an ugly sloppy bun. AKA I put my hair into a bun and didn't put any bobby pins in to make it look cute in a sloppy way. And I had my bangs secured in a cute bow headband thingy I found in the drawer. I wore my PJs all day, not caring if I went out or not, but would have been happy if someone randomly showed up just to say "hi". So, I'm just going to post a pic of a hairstyle I did for a benefit concert over Christmas Break.
There was this pretty head piece thing that went with the shirt (I call it a shirt because it was way too short to be considered a dress) costume we wore. I put it on the left side, but my mom said that she couldn't see it because it blended in with my hair. I wish I took a pic with it in my hair, but my phone was dying, so I didn't.
Here is me and a few of my homies in action. I felt like this was my best time performing it.
The concert itself was amazing! All of the performers did amazing, including Brooke White! It was a great night :)

Winter Formal: Jazz it Up!
OK, Winter Formal yesterday was AMAZING. I went to bed really late stressing out about Winter Formal, and I thought I was going to sleep in really late, but I didn't because my siblings jumped me. Let's just say that they did not wake me at 6 AM. Whew! So, ya, my mom and I went to JoAnns to get some stuff for my dress. Then we were at Payless 20 minutes before it opened, so we went to Target. I gasped in surprise when I saw size 13 shoes, and was freaking out about the fact they had oxfords in my size (We didn't get them, because they weren't a color I wear that often). We drove all the way across the street back to Payless and we walked in as soon as it opened. They were having a sale, so not only did I get shoes for Winter Formal, but I also got black sandals. Halla! Shoes are great. Oh ya, and we got flowers at Safeway for the boutonniere and corsage.
We got home, I blow dried my hair... put my hair in hot rollers... mommy fixed the weirdness of the sleeves... I did my make-up... mom made me put on my unfinished dress on with my purty silver shoes, and walk around the house showing my siblings the prettiness. I was so tired of changing out of my dress into sweats that I just wore it to my cousins (to drop off the flowers so that my aunt can make the flower stuff), and to my grandparents so that my grandma can finish the dress. My grandma did my hair in a french roll, and she did an amazing job.
Looks 20-ish, right? Hehe :)
Unfortunately, my hair fell out during one of the last songs, so this is what it looked like when I got home:
Anyways, I was a little late to my friend's house to do her hair, but I got it done! I poofed her bangs, poofed her hair, braided hair from the sides, pinned them with sparkly bobby pins, and curled the rest of her hair. It looked so cute!
Because I don't have my license and because there was no room in my friend's cars for me and my date, he came and picked me up.
This is the second time my whole life I had to do this and I failed! haha
This face says it all: "Eeeee! This is hard and scary!"
And of course, the guy gets the easy part: Slide a pretty corsage on the wrist.
We met up with another couple in the group to take pictures. After a lot of pictures, another couple showed up.
Funny moment! We were posing for a picture when we heard someone scream behind us. Two thoughts crossed my mind: 1) Someone got injured really bad 2) Someone in our group showed up. It was neither of those. It was a group of elderly people. The man who screamed said "Sorry, I was just trying to get you guys to smile!" We asked them to take a pic with us, and they did. It was awesome!
We took more random, goofy pictures than serious pictures. For example:
Copyright: C. Jones :)
None of the other couples showed up, so that stinks for them :(
We drove to my friend's house for dinner, where the rest of the couples were. We had a potato bar, salad, and chicken noodle soup. Yum! For dessert we had this delicious chocolaty-minty-cheesecake stuff. There were laughing wars, and chatting, and quoting Kid History. It was fun :)
Here's a pic of the whole group before we left for the dance :) I love fedoras.
The dance itself was amazing! The place was beautiful! For almost every Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus song, we explored the gardens outside. Besides that, we danced every song! Mostly hustle. I taught him basics and a few simple moves and then he would make stuff up! It was epic yet tiring! So it was good that they played songs we disliked, because we got to have a breather! Haha. The DJ called the guys up to do a dance-off, and if it wasn't for the guys who can robot dance and break dance, I think he should have won! It was fun watching them dance though :) We were both so wiped out! The bottoms of my feet hurt, but the dancing was worth it!
I would say that overall, Winter Formal was a success! :D If you go to my school, how was your winter formal? :)
